so I've got a reading list ... I haven't been interested in reading for while... not that I haven't wanted to. Just didn't have books that interested me.

I have found my Jane Eyre book. I'm putting it aside for a few others at the moment.

I'm almost done with Atonement which I'm reading for the second time.

I got copies of Never Let Me Go and The Reader. Never Let Me Go seems like and interesting read. I'll confess that what got me to look at it was it's being made into a movie starring Keira Knightley. But what is making me go "oooh. I want to read this!" is that it's by Kazuo Ishiguro who wrote The Remains of the Day.. a book that I hate and love. I had to do a reprot and 30 min presentation on the book for my senior seminar in college on it. He's a really interesting author in the way that he focuses on a subject and developes that throughout the novel.

The Reader? Yes the movie Kate Winslet starred in. I don't know if I want to sit through the movie so I decided to read the book.

I will finish Jane Eyre on of these days. *laughs* I want to read Pride and Prejudice again.

I finally watched the first episode of the new sentai show, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. Yay! I loved it. Back to the format I grew to LOVE! A Red LEADER. (Boukenger had it...) And it's JAPANESE. I think my main gripe about Geki and Go-On was it was too "Power Rangery" in the transformations for me... Too Americanized.

Shinkenger has a 'back to the basics' feel to it... Heck, even Shinken Blue is no 2 and uses a bow!! My favorite!

I loved the Shinken "Spinning Turtle" attack. *laughs* Gamera? I love Gamera. I have a little stuffed plushie Gamera.

OMG!! this is my favorite movie this year...

Not like last year with Atonement, which was a fantastic film... This film is great. But what really does it for me is the performance that Keira gives as Georgiana. I have been a fan since Star Wars Phantom Menace in which she plays the decoy, Sabe, and have seen every movie (dvd some) she has made since.

The story is really well... wonderful is not the word as it is 'biographic' and rather tragic. Ralph Fiennes is equally wonderful as the Duke.

I finally watched the Geki/Bouken movie. It was cute at the end with the Bouken crew teasing Sakura about calling Akashi Satoru, 'Satoru-san' ^^; I liked the group pose very much with both Red and Black in the center in identical poses and Silver in the space formally owned by Black.

Yay! It comes out March 18th! I can't wait. I have a vcd of the movie... but I want the dvd. I am so happy it won Best Score at the Oscars.. I love the score. It makes me cry. Many think that it should have won for best picture. I surely think so. I think it's one of the best films I've seen in a while. It's definately moved into my top movie list with The African Queen, Throne of Blood, Mary Poppins and Enter the Dragon.

Silk came out in dvd Tuesday. I finally get to see it. I have ye to watch it but now I can. I've ordered the score to that. It should arrive by the end of the week. Yay for Barnes & Noble ordering in the store, paying now and having free shipping to my house! I got to make my membership card worth it. I renewed it in December when I saw Atonement in the theater. (Hehe... saw Gene Simmons go to the men's room.)

My Disneyland Annual Pass also runs out soon. March 28th.

Hmm... I guess this year will be another boring year... not a whole lot I'm looking forward to seeing.. Well, there are two films. The Edge of Love and The Duchess. Both starring Keira Knightley. ^________^ Oh, something rather interesting I read in a mag.. Sienna Miller might be in the GI JOE movie as a JOE... but that isn't slated until next year.

Movies I saw last year... Ghost Rider, 300, The Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, Atonement and Sweeney Todd. For the first time in years, I don't have to search through the technical awards that nobody cares about for an Oscar nominee... Atonement is up for 7! I do hope it wins for Score. It makes me cry when I listen to it.. I'm hoping against hope that Johnny wins for Best Actor and Atonement wins for Picture...

So another Toku year has/is coming to a close. Kamen Rider Kiva looks interesting. A bat. Not so sure about Engine Sentai Go On-ger... I've yet to watch Geki! I am up to date on both the raw and subbed eps... I just haven't watched any of them!

Where has the year gone? Is it time to buy the new POTC dvd already? I'm not really all that hyped about it. I didn't like the movie and was very disappointed with how it ended. I really don't even care for how they are marketing the dvd. Apparently the only thing I was looking forward to on the dvd isn't even on it but only on a special edition 3rd disc which is only released in Europe and Japan! I've seen a tiny sized clip and it it doesn't even show very much of the carpet. Hrmph. The only thing that makes AWE 'wheee!' for me is that I got to see most of the POTC cast up close and heard Johnny Depp speak French! *faints*
